Accounting Clerk

Overview
Performs routine accounting activities such as maintenance of the preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports and accounts payable or receivable functions. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
Responsibilities Processing of Accounts payable and receivables Processing Checks Post Checks Process Cancellations Direct bill management Deposits Customer Service, internal and external Update all applicable systems, QuickBooks, ITC, ImagerightQualifications
Proficiency in Quick Books and MS Office products
High level of accuracy in Data Entry, typing and 10 key skills
Detail oriented
Exceptional Customer Service skills, strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle repetitive tasks

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
