This includes but is not limited to taking hotel reservations; answering phones, sending/receiving faxes, logging into various computer programs and sending out electronic shift reports.
Will be responsible for maintaining a gracious and professional manner towards guests at all times.
Demand accuracy with daily accounting procedures.
SKILLS Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
(up to 5 hours) Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum to zero supervision.
Ability to accurately compute and manipulate mathematical calculations.
Problem Solver:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (Speak, Read, Write) with guests, co-workers, and management to their understanding.

DUTIES Stand and greet guests as they arrive and leave.
Check-in and check-out hotel guests in a confident, professional, and friendly manner.
Check for proper identification by ensuring that the credentials provided match and are in accordance with the hotel policy.
Offer guests use of the luggage racks and inform them of breakfast times, pool and fitness room times.
Initiate courtesy call after check-in to ensure guest is satisfied with Accommodation as well as offer any assistance.
Anticipate guest's needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
Review arrivals making notes of special-requests and blocking rooms as necessary for VIP and group arrivals.
Answer all queries regarding hotel services, charges, meeting facilities, group bookings, and travel directions.
Complete all items as listed on shift checklists.
Ensure proper credit card procedures are followed at all times to include guest signature on registration slip.
Adhere to all cashiering procedures:
open, secure and balance out shift banks to include the verification of all cash transactions during a given shift.
Advice guest of any messages, mail, faxes, etc.
received for them.
Accept and record wake-up call requests.
Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.
e.
Special requests, amenity delivery) using shift reporting and immediate notification to proper department.
Knowledgeable of hotel fire and emergency procedures.
Keep the front desk as well as lobby areas clean and well organized.
Assist with reservations calls in a professional manner.
Legibly document maintenance needs in front desk log and submit to Manager.
Maintain complete knowledge at all times of:
all hotel features/services, hours of operation.
all room types, numbers, layout, d cor, appointments and location.
all room rates, special packages and promotions.
room availability status for any given shift.
scheduled daily group/meeting room reservations/ arrivals.
Resolve guest complaints or forward complaint to the proper management personnel for further attention.
Use computer software to conduct Close of Day.
Organize, balance and file proper close of day paperwork and notify management of any imbalances.
Ensure parking lot and building are secure and that guests needs are handled promptly.
Attend to noise complaints and room issues.
As well as document for the next day to follow up as appropriate.
